Mufti Muhammad Muaz Ashraf is a Certified Shari’ah Advisor & Auditor (CSAA-AAOIFI Bahrain), Registered Sharia Advisor with Security & Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) and Certified Halal Lead Auditor (Malaysia/Pakistan). He is also a part of Expert Trainer Pool (OIC/SMIIC). Along with General Islamic Sciences, his expertise spans Islamic Banking & Finance, Islamic Jurisprudence and Halal Certification. With a decade of experience, he serves as a Sharia Expert, Advisor, and Trainer at Different Institutions & Organizations.
Muaz Ashraf completed his graduation as a Sharia Scholar (Shahadat-ul-Almiyah) and specialization as a Mufti (Specialization in Islamic Jurisprudence & Fatwa/ تخصص فی الفقه والافتاء) from the world-renowned Islamic institution “Jamia Darululoom Karachi” under the great supervision of famous Islamic luminaries suc as Mufti Rafi Usmani & Mufti Taqi Usmani. Over the past decade, he has authored hundreds of Fatawa and provided expert legal opinions on various aspects of Islamic Sciences, including Islamic Finance, Mu’amlaat, and the Halal Industry.
Mufti Muhammad Muaz has received several certificates in Islamic Finance from different institutions including AAOIFI (CSAA), Centre for Islamic Economics (CIE), IBA Karachi, State Bank of Pakistan, LUMS University, Meezan Bank Limited etc. In addition, he has been honoured with certificates of Halal Lead Auditor, Quality Management System Lead Auditor and Lead Auditor of Global Food Safety Standards. He has vast experience of Halal Audits in different industries & countries.
Muhammad Muaz Ashraf has written & presented several research papers at different local & international conferences focusing on Halal Industry Islamic Finance. He is a well-versed lecturer and trainer in the field of Fiqh, Halal Industry and Islamic Finance. He delivered Lead Auditor courses, lectures and talks on behalf of and at different universities, organizations and institutions, namely, Meezan Bank Limited, State Bank of Pakistan, NIBAF, Faysal Bank, Adamjee Takaful, UMT (University), IBA-CEIF (Khi), Center for Islamic Economics (Khi), The University of Punjab, COMSATS University, The Institute of Banking Pakistan (IBP) etc.
