On the request of, and in collaboration with, 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐔𝐍𝐈𝐓𝐄𝐃 𝐍𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍𝐒 Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), the 𝐂𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐇𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐥 𝐀𝐬𝐬𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 successfully conducted a 𝐇𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐥 𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐝 𝐀𝐮𝐝𝐢𝐭𝐨𝐫 𝐂𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐬𝐞 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐏𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐩𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬 (10-12 March, 2025) which was funded by 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐄𝐮𝐫𝐨𝐩𝐞𝐚𝐧 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐨𝐧. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first-ever government-recognized Halal Lead Auditor course delivered by a private sector organization. The course was officially recognized by the Pakistan Halal Authority.
This 3-day training program was delivered by the CEO of Center for Halal Assurance Mufti Muhammad Muaz Ashraf. It was meticulously structured with the help of designated team of UNIDO guaranteeing an enriching learning experience. The course was a groundbreaking initiative aimed at equipping professionals from diverse sectors—including food production, quality assurance, regulatory compliance, and halal consultancy—with the latest industry knowledge and auditing expertise.
Almost all participants were Muslims included representatives from Ministries and institutions such as BPDA, MTIT, MOST, MSU-TCTO, and others, including administrative and technical staff, Islamic scholars, laboratory analysts, assessors, and auditors from BARMM government institutions and Halal Certification Bodies.
The training bridged the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical implementation in halal certification, ensuring that attendees left with a comprehensive skill set to excel in their respective fields.
We are thankful to the UNIDO team of Philippines and PHA for thier support.
Many more to come Insha-Allah! May Allah T’āla accept this effort. Ameen
